Terms of Service

These Terms of Service explain the rules for using ESP AC Remote, a mobile application provided by W2S SOLUTION LTD, located in London, United Kingdom, available on the Apple App Store (iOS) and Google Play (Android).

By installing or using ESP AC Remote, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.

1. App purpose

ESP AC Remote is designed to help users control compatible ESPHome air conditioner devices from a phone on the same local Wi-Fi network. The app may allow users to:

• scan for compatible local air conditioner devices;
• select and control an air conditioner;
• change temperature, mode, fan, swing, and related controls when supported by the device;
• use optional Premium features such as removing ads.

The app is intended for personal and lawful use only.

2. Local network use

ESP AC Remote works with compatible local devices on your Wi-Fi network. You are responsible for:

• making sure your air conditioner and ESPHome device are installed safely;
• using correct local network settings;
• ensuring you have permission to control the device;
• following all safety instructions from the air conditioner and ESPHome device manufacturer.

W2S SOLUTION LTD is not responsible for damage, incorrect operation, network issues, device incompatibility, or problems caused by incorrect configuration.

3. No emergency or safety-critical use

Do not rely on ESP AC Remote for emergency, medical, safety-critical, or life-support purposes. The app is provided for convenience only.

4. Premium subscription

ESP AC Remote may offer an optional auto-renewing Premium subscription. Premium is intended to remove advertisements from the app. Premium may be offered on a monthly or yearly basis, and you may switch between plans where supported.

Subscriptions are purchased and managed through the platform you installed the app from:

• iOS: payment is charged to your Apple ID account at confirmation of purchase. The subscription automatically renews unless it is cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your account is charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period. You can manage or cancel your subscription in your Apple ID account settings: Settings > [your name] > Subscriptions.
• Android: payment is charged to your Google Play account. Renewal, cancellation, and refunds are handled by Google Play. You can manage your subscription at Google Play Store > Profile > Payments & subscriptions > Subscriptions.

If you cancel a subscription, Premium access may continue until the end of the current paid period, depending on the platform’s subscription rules. Any unused portion of a free trial period, if offered, is forfeited when you purchase a subscription, where applicable.

5. Advertisements

The free version of ESP AC Remote may display advertisements. Ads may be provided by Google AdMob or another configured advertising provider. Ads are separate from the app’s core local air conditioner control functionality.

6. Third-party services and links

The app may use or link to third-party services, including Apple App Store, Google Play, Google AdMob, ESPHome-compatible devices, websites, and other external services. W2S SOLUTION LTD does not control third-party services and is not responsible for their content, availability, terms, privacy practices, or actions.

7. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• use the app for illegal or harmful purposes;
• attempt to reverse engineer, modify, or abuse the app;
• use the app to access devices you do not own or do not have permission to control;
• interfere with the app, advertising systems, billing systems, or third-party services;
• use the app in a way that could damage equipment or create unsafe conditions.

8. App availability and changes

We may update, change, suspend, or discontinue parts of the app at any time. Some features may depend on internet access, App Store or Google Play services, local network availability, compatible hardware, or remote configuration. We do not guarantee that the app will always be available, error-free, or compatible with every device.

9. Disclaimer of warranties

ESP AC Remote is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, to the maximum extent permitted by law. We do not guarantee that:

• the app will work with every air conditioner or ESPHome setup;
• commands will always be delivered or executed correctly;
• the app will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free;
• advertisements, subscriptions, or third-party services will always work as expected.

10. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, W2S SOLUTION LTD will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of data, loss of use, device damage, network issues, or problems caused by third-party services or device configuration.

11. Privacy

12. Children

The app is not directed to children under 13. If you are under the age required by your country to use App Store or Google Play services or make purchases, you must have permission from a parent or legal guardian.

13. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws applicable in the United Kingdom, unless local consumer protection laws require otherwise.

14. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will update the “Last updated” date. Continued use of the app after changes means you accept the updated Terms.
