This Privacy Policy explains how W2S SOLUTION LTD (“we”, “us”, or “our”) handles information in connection with the mobile application ESP AC Remote on both Apple App Store (iOS) and Google Play (Android).
ESP AC Remote is a local remote-control app for compatible ESPHome air conditioner devices. The app is designed to work on the same local Wi-Fi network as the user’s ESPHome device.
The app does not require users to create an account and does not ask users to provide their name, phone number, postal address, or precise physical location.
To control your air conditioner, the app may process information such as the local IP address or URL of your ESPHome device, a device name chosen by you, air conditioner mode, target temperature, current temperature, fan mode, swing mode, and on/off status. This information is mainly used locally on your device to display and control your air conditioner. Some settings, such as saved device names and selected device information, may be stored locally on your phone.
The free version of the app may show advertisements using Google Mobile Ads / AdMob, and may also display a configured third-party banner advertisement. Advertising partners may process data such as advertising identifiers (including the Apple Identifier for Advertisers “IDFA” on iOS and the Android Advertising ID on Android), device information, approximate location derived from network information, ad interactions, diagnostics, and other data needed for ad delivery, fraud prevention, analytics, and measurement.
On iOS, where required, the app uses Apple’s App Tracking Transparency framework to request your permission before any tracking that would be used for personalized advertising. Where required in supported regions, a consent message (via Google’s User Messaging Platform) may also be shown.
If you purchase an optional Premium subscription to remove ads, the purchase is handled by the platform’s billing system — Apple’s App Store (StoreKit) on iOS and Google Play Billing on Android. We do not receive or store your payment card details. The app may receive purchase status information, product identifiers, and purchase/transaction tokens from the platform to verify whether Premium is active.
The app may download a remote configuration file from our server or configured hosting service. This file may control settings such as whether ads are enabled, ad placement, ad unit IDs, links to our privacy policy, terms page, contact page, and subscription product IDs.

We do not sell personal information. Local settings remain on your device until you delete them, clear the app’s data, or uninstall the app. Purchase records are handled by Apple App Store or Google Play. If you contact us by email, we may retain your message for as long as reasonably necessary to respond and keep support records.
The app is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your country). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe that a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us so we can take appropriate action.
We use reasonable measures to protect information. However, no method of electronic transmission or storage is completely secure. Users should only connect the app to trusted devices on trusted local networks.
We are based in the United Kingdom. If you use the app from another country, information may be processed in the United Kingdom or in other countries where our service providers operate.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we update it, we will change the “Last updated” date above. Continued use of the app after an update means you accept the updated policy.
